Pat Flanagan Award

    The Pat Flanagan Award is given annually by the State Association to an Associate Member. The award was established in 1964 and is based on the Associate Member's assistance to operators and their contribution to the Operators Association. Specifically the criteria is based on:

  • Assistance of Operators in training, maintenance and/or repairs of water or wastewater facilities.
  • Assisting in Regional or Annual meetings or short schools.
  • Providing technical information and service to operators.

Richard P. Vogh Award

    The Richard P. Vogh Award is presented annually by the State Association to the Region judged most progressive during the year. This award, established in 1975, is named for Richard P. Vogh, who devoted time and energy for over 30 years to the development of operator education and professionalism in both the Water and Wastewater fields.

Emory Dawkins Award

    This award, established in 1990, is named for Mather Emory Dawkins, who has worked many years as the editor of the FLORIDA WATER RESOURCES JOURNAL (Previously named the OVERFLOW); the official publication of the FW&PCOA, FS/AWWA and FWOA. It is given annually as the FW&PCOA Award for the Best Regional Newsletter.

    The Robert E. Theodore Kamien Award

    The Theodore Kamien Award is conferred on a person who has displayed dedication to the Cross-Connection Control programs in the State of Florida through the FW&PCOA. This award is to be presented by the Backflow Chairman, President of the FW&PCOA, or a past recipient of the award at the awards luncheon of the Annual State Short School held in August.

Pat Robinson Award

    The FW&PCOA State Training Scholarship Program each year issues the Pat Robinson Award to deserving members of the association to attend the State Spring or Fall Short School held the calendar year the award is presented. The Scholarship consists of a fee waiver for attendance at the Annual State Short School and reimbursement of travel costs up to $200.00.

Safety Award

    Each year the Association recognizes those facilities who have an outstanding Safety record with an Awards Plaque. These plaques are presented at the Annual Awards Luncheon in conjunction with the Fall Short School.

Nathan Pope Award

    The Nathan Pope Award is conferred on a person who has displayed dedication to the Stormwater programs in the State of Florida through the FW&PCOA.     The Joseph V. Outstanding Web Site Award

    The FWPCOA recognizes the growing importance of the Internet, and its use as a tool in providing service to our customers. The Outstanding Web Site Award was established by the FWPCOA Board of Directors in 2001. This award shall be presented annually to that water, wastewater, stormwater or reclaimed water utility or municipality within the state that is judged to provide the most outstanding internet web site to their customers.

Honorary Life Member Award

    Honorary life membership is conferred on a person who has rendered valuable and outstanding service in advancing the objectives of the Association. The State Board of Directors may confer the "Honorary Life Member" status to a maximum of ten (10) or 1/2 of one percent of the active membership, whichever is greater. They shall be elected by a unanimous vote of the State Board of Directors and made in conformance with the By-Laws of the Association.

Member Recruitment Award

    Ensuring a viable membership is the best way to ensure our voice is heard when we work with the State and the other associations within our industry. To help continue this effort, the FWPCOA Board of Directors enacted a recruitment award for our membership as acknowledgment for their efforts. Recruitment awards shall include:

  • 5 sponsored members = FWPCOA cap
  • 15 sponsored members = $50.00 Savings Bond
  • 25 sponsored members = $100.00 Savings Bond
  • 40 sponsored members = (2) $100.00 Savings Bond
