Committee Reclaimed Water
Reclaimed Water Committee
Chairman: Jody Godsey
Florida has been a national leader in water reuse programs and has had over 30 years of reclaimed water experience with no public health problems. Extensive scientific studies on health effects have documented reuse safety.
The Advantages of Reclaimed Water over Well Water:
For lawns and other landscaping, reclaimed water contains the fertilizing properties of nitrogen and phosphorus, ideal for growing lush Florida lawns. Well water can leave unsightly orange stains as a result of iron in the water that is not found in reclaimed water.
It shall be the duty of this committee to develop, organize, schedule, and/or approve classes for the purpose of coordinating unified Reclaimed Water Training Courses in the State of Florida. The committee shall determine the criteria and assist the Training Director and the Regions in scheduling the speakers and instructors for the schools.
