Region IX Water Distribution Level 3 & Reclaimed Water Distribution C
Water Distribution System Operator
The FW&PCOA originally provided these courses, starting in 1981, as a voluntary certification program. Today, these courses, taught by experienced operators, meet the core subject area requirements of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Operator Knowledge Base Manual, providing the training required by rule for the Florida operator examination for each level of licensing. The level 3 course is 30 hours in length.
Reclaimed Water Distribution
The FW&PCOA’s voluntary certification program for reclaimed water system operators closely follows the subject content for water distribution system operator courses. Students receive additional instruction in Rule 62-610, Florida Administrative Code, regarding the reuse of reclaimed water and land application. The association grants certification step-wise, starting at the C level and progressing to the A level. Each course is 30 hours in length.
Reclaimed Water Distribution (
Abbreviated
Course)
Persons who have successfully completed the association’s level 3 water distribution system operator course may take the abbreviated reclaimed water distribution level C course.
