This course has been cancelled. Region 7 will issue full refund of the course tuition fee already paid. The Water Distribution Level 3 course is 30 hours in length and meets the core subject area requirements of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, providing the training required by rule for the Florida Level 3 Water Distribution System Operator licensing examination. The Level 3 course examines the basic concepts of a water distribution system, including storage, system components, water quality, disinfection, operation and maintenance, safety and water math.
The course uses the manual, Water Distribution System Operation and Maintenance, 7th Edition, available from the Office of Water Programs, California State University (Click here to order the book). Students are required to acquire the manual prior to class.
The course runs from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with a 1-hour lunch break. The end of course exam will be given on Friday, starting at 8:00 a.m.
