This course has been cancelled. Region 7 will issue full refund of the course tuition fee already paid. The Wastewater Collection C course is 30 hours in length and is the entry-level course for the Florida Water & Pollution Control Operator Association's (FW&PCOA) Wastewater Collection System Operator Voluntary Certification Program. Applicants for the Level C voluntary certification must have at least one year (2,080 hours) of on-the-job experience operating and/or maintaining a municipal wastewater collection system. The Level C course examines the basic concepts of a wastewater collection system, including wastewater system inspecting and testing, safe procedures, lift station and equipment maintenance, pipeline cleaning and maintenance, pipeline repair and rehabilitation, and wastewater math.
The course uses the FW&PCOA course book, Wastewater Collection Training Manual, First Edition. The FW&PCOA will provide the book to students enrolled in the course.
The course runs from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with a 1-hour lunch break. The end of course exam will be given on Friday, starting at 8:00 a.m.
