Backflow Tester Certification
Details:
The Backflow Tester course includes classroom instruction and hands-on training that utilizes a backflow prevention assembly wet lab where students will field test a double check assembly, reduced pressure principle assembly, and pressure vacuum breaker. This course is 32 hours in length and includes the course manual published by the FW&PCOA.

Facility Management
Details:
The Facility Management course is taught by experienced water industry professionals, and meet the core subject area requirements of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Operator Knowledge Base Manual, providing the training required by rule for the Florida water and wastewater treatment plant operator level A examinations. Manuals are included in this 32 hour course.

Reclaimed Water Distribution C
Details:
The FW&PCOA’s voluntary certification program for reclaimed water system operators closely follows the subject content for water distribution system operator courses. Students receive additional instruction in Rule 62-610, Florida Administrative Code, regarding the reuse of reclaimed water and land application. The association grants certification step-wise, starting at the C level and progressing to the A level. Each course is 30 hours in length and includes the course manual.
