HOST: Lake Park Water Treatment Plant At the Hillsborough County Lake Park Water Plant we receive our source water either from wells or pretreated water supplied by Tampa Bay Water. We treat the water with chloramines (chlorine and ammonia) for disinfection, along with using PO4 (for corrosion inhibitor), fluoride, and sodium hydroxide (for ph control). We have a bleach generator that allows us to make our own sodium hypochlorite. The bleach generator is through Odyssey and the process of making our own bleach is simply complex. This process allows the plant to save money on chemicals by producing our own. And we are enhancing our physical features, by painting the buildings, ground storage tanks, and above ground pipes. The plant is well kept and we are always finding ways to improve upon it.
If you have any questions, please let me know!
Have a great day,
